About Berkeley County Court Records

Court records in Berkeley County live across the Clerk of Court, Circuit Court, Family Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, the Sheriff's Office, and state systems. Finding the right office on the first try is often the hardest part. We built this site so users can identify the right portal, address, phone number, or request path without moving between several government websites.

Why We Built This Site

South Carolina gives the public access to many court records, but Berkeley County records are not all held by one office. The Clerk of Court handles Circuit Court records for Common Pleas civil cases and General Sessions criminal cases. Probate Court handles estates, wills, guardianships, conservatorships, and marriage licenses. Family Court handles divorce and domestic matters, but many Family Court files have confidentiality limits. Magistrate and Municipal Courts handle lower-level criminal, traffic, eviction, small-claims, and ordinance matters. We organize those separate access points into one Berkeley County reference.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any South Carolina court, Berkeley County office, sheriff's office, clerk's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point users to the right Berkeley County office, but the document has to come from that office.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what appears in their results.
